Too many directions at once
Too many directions at the same time: your energy is split between all of them, and none gets enough to produce a result.
How it shows up
- You have several projects, and each one moves very slowly.
- It's hard to say which thing is the main one: everything seems important.
- New opportunities get added, old ones never get closed.
- You're always busy, but the month's outcome is hard to describe in one sentence.
Where it usually comes from
Many interests are a resource; scattering begins when choosing one feels like losing all the others. Sometimes fear of picking the wrong direction sits behind it: while you try everything at once, no choice is final. Sometimes it's a habit of saying yes to every interesting opportunity.
What it costs
Progress in each direction is barely visible, and the switching eats your energy. A feeling grows that you're trying hard and moving little.
Try this weekList all your current directions. For each, answer: “what changes in three months if I pause this?” Pick one main direction for the next 30 days and one you honestly freeze — with a date when you'll come back to it.
